Emma Gibney

Miss Emma is beyond thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Element Dance Arts.

Emma is from Kitchener, Ontario Canada, where she began her training in the arts at a very early age. Emma has over twenty-two years of training in various styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical/contemporary, modern, hip hop, acrobatics, musical theatre, voice, and acting. Beginning her studies with Moree School of Dance, she continued her education throughout high school at Dimensions in Dance. She attended Eastwood Collegiate Institute for the prestigious Integrated Arts Program. While studying at Eastwood she maintained a triple major in voice, dance and acting as well as working on a handful of productions with Kitchener Waterloo Musical Productions including Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, Footloose, and Sound of Music.

Emma is a graduate of Randolph College For The Performing Arts where she studied voice, acting, dance, film and television over two years in their renowned “Triple Threat” college program. While in college Emma was fortunate enough to train under some of the industry’s best instructors, performers, and professionals; developing her skills across the performing arts.

After graduation, Emma began her journey within the professional theatre industry and has been fortunate enough to work on some amazing productions. Select credits include Spring Awakening, RENT, Rocket Man: The Music of Elton John, Princess Pop: A Celebration of Wishes, Always ABBA: The Music of ABBA, Anything Goes, Fancy Nancy, and Legally Blonde, among others. Emma is also a firm believer in developing and supporting community theatre and continues to stay connected to Kitchener-Waterloo’s community theatre scene.

Emma continues her training by taking voice and dance classes regularly as well as working on various certifications. She firmly believes in the importance of continuing her education so she can provide a proper and safe education for her students, supporting their arts development.
