Full-Time Program Information
Our full time program has been developed to produce strong, well-rounded dancers wishing to train at an advanced level. Dancers in the full time program are expected to be dedicated to training in a disciplined, technique-intensive program. Program requirements vary by age group, and are listed below. Additional classes may be added for those wishing to train in more genres than required. Dancers participating in the Full Time program must be aware that technique class time slots may, on the rare occasion, be used to complete/clean competitive choreography when necessary. In the event this must occur, it will not always be possible for the class time to be rescheduled for dancers who are not a part of the routine.
Mandatory VS Optional Classes – In the charts below you will find a list of mandatory classes for each program. Optional classes (listed on the lower half of each chart) may be added to your schedule at no extra cost.
Additional Classes – Some students choose to take an additional technique class outside of their program level (ex: 2 tap classes or 2 acro classes). If you are interested in an additional class, please inquire and we are happy to add this into your schedule, if space permits. These classes are charged at $200+HST for the year. – this payment will be divided into 10 equal instalments.
PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) – Two levels of PBT classes are being added to the roster this year. (Jr/Inter and Teen/Senior) These will take place from September-June. The cost for this program is $300+HST for the year – this payment will be divided into 10 equal instalments. Equipment will be provided by the studio, or dancers may use their own if they wish. *Minimum number of participants required for program to run.
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students’ technique by focussing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. It is a unique training system using ballet-technique specific exercises to train skill acquisition in a graded and progressive manner from junior through to advanced levels. Welcome the 2021-2022 dance season at Element Dance Arts!
At this point in time, the Ontario Government has not announced what restrictions indoor recreation will be facing once we reach stage 3 of the current reopening plan. As a result, we are unsure of what capacity limits will be imposed on our classes.
We have opted to open up registration for the 2021-2022 season, however we will not have a completed schedule in place until further guidance from the government is provided. We have hopes that this will be towards the end of July. Knowing how many dancers are interested in each level will help us to prepare in advance for whatever restrictions are thrown our way.
If you have an interest in dancing next season, we urge you to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount of 5% off your yearly tuition. This is available from July 6th-9th 2021.
*If you find that the schedule does not work for your dancer once it is available, a full refund (minus the $20 registration/admin fee) will be available. A withdrawal deadline will be noted once the schedule is available.
