Michele founded Element Dance Arts in 2011, with sister and co-director Stephanie.  She is thrilled to be able to share her passion and love of dance with her students each and every day.

Michele is a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School Teacher Training Program. She has attained her Registered Teacher’s status with the Royal Academy of Dance, and holds her Associate status with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, in National Dance. She has completed advanced dance exams with the Royal Academy of Dance, The Cecchetti Society, ISTD National branch, and BTDA syllabus’.

Michele is also a graduate of York University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree specializing in Dance, and was the recipient of the York University IMACO award and scholarship for “Excellence in Performing Arts”. She has completed courses in pedagogy, child psychology and development, dance & music history, national dance, repertoire studies, benesch notation, human anatomy, nutrition, dance injury prevention and treatment, body conditioning, creative dance, composition and choreography, and advanced modern and ballet technique.  Michele has worked with students in both the associates and professional ballet programs at Canada’s National Ballet School, and has had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the country’s most acclaimed teachers.

Michele’s students have been accepted into the National Ballet School summer program, and the dance programs at George Brown College and Sheridan College.  Many students have had the opportunity to perform with professional companies such as Ballet Jorgen, The National Ballet of Canada, Drayton Entertainment, and KW Musical Productions, and have competed with the Canadian team at the World Dance Championships.

Michele is thankful everyday that she has an opportunity to work in an industry she is so passionate about, and grateful that she has the ability to share that passion for dance and the arts with the young people in her community.
