Summer Drop-In Technique classes
Summer drop-in classes are an excellent way for your dancer to improve their technique ability to pick-up choreography and grow their love for dance over the summer months! Taking technique classes on a regular basis ensures dancers continue to keep up the momentum of their progress and allows them a strong basis to grow from immediately in September. Our team has improved immensely this past competitive season and we would hate to see this growth come to a halt due to lack of training through the summer.
Drop-in classes are commitment-free – come and pay as you go, or purchase a Class Card for additional savings. Classes are not limited to our Full Time and JumpStart programs – recreational dancers are more than welcome to join in! Dancers require previous experience – classes are open to those not registered at EDA.
Competitive Students –
Those wishing to be considered for the 2019-2020 EDA Competitive Team are required to take a *minimum* of 6 technique classes throughout the summer months. These 6 classes must include a minimum of 2 ballet classes and 1 stretch & strength, along with 3 other classes of your choosing (Disclaimer: our micro mini/JumpStart 8+ and those interested in hiphop only must take a minimum of 4 classes). Although there is a minimum requirement, we would like to see our competitive dancers making an effort to be in class on a weekly basis to continue their growth into next season. The more you train – the stronger you’ll become!
Working one-on-one with our students gives them the added opportunity to excel or perfect a specific skill or genre. Summer is an excellent time to advance one’s skill level, refine technique, and explore new options as a dancer.
